Water Damage

We start off by masking off the area around the stain so that the non-stained areas are protected.  Next, we remove the old finish and then use oxalic acid to remove the stain and bring back the original color of the wood.  Once the area is dry, simply re-staining or sealing it to match the surrounding floor is all that is left. In some extreme cases the water damaged area maybe considered as a damaged floor board.

Broken/ Damaged Floor boards
We drill two holes next to each other 2 inches from one end of the broken floorboard, than position a pry bar into the cut section of the broken floor board and pry the board out of the floor. After, we measure the length of the area for the new board and fit the new floor board in by custom cutting it with a hand saw. Refinishing the new piece may be necessary.

Unleveled floors
Depending on how off the floor is will depend on how the floor will be fixed. If the floor is slightly off level than all we need to do is sand down the floor until everything is level. We finish off by refinishing the floor.

We may also use some floor patch compounds in a few places and sand it smooth to make the floor level. However, if the floor level is greatly off there may be the chance where we will have to take out the subfloor and readjust it so that the new flooring will be leveled.

Missing Floorboards
We use a process called Weaving and fill out the area. We add the new flooring to into the blank area and we also cut into some of the existing flooring. We do this so that we can create a seamless fusion of both the old and the new floors.
